Getting started
The Magnifying Glass
To access the Media Search on the iPhone and the iPad just click the Add Media icon (•••) located in the side menu and look for the magnifying glass. On the Mac, you will find the magnifying glass directly in the sidebar. Click it to open the Media Search.
There is no secret here. Type what you are looking for and the results will appear. Navigate between the tabs Images, Videos, GIFs and Music to change the type of media you are looking for and when you want to add the media in your post click on the (+).

Preview it before you add it
It’s easy to choose the right image just by looking it’s thumbnail sometimes, but what about GIFs, videos, and music? You need to preview and play it to make sure the content will fit your needs. Yes, we thought about that too ;)
To preview it on the Mac select the media and press space bar, the same way you preview files when using Finder. You can also right-click on the thumbnail and choose “Preview†along with other options like “Copy link†and “view on browser†for example.
On the iOS side simply touch and hold the media and the actions menu will pop up, as you can see here:

What kind of content can I found on it?
For now, you will be able to search for images, videos, gifs, music, and podcasts from 500px, Pexels, Unsplash, Pixabay, YouTube, Vimeo, Giphy, Apple Music, Spotify, and Soundcloud. We plan to add other types of content in the future such as Wikipedia articles and App Store apps.
All content on Media Search is free to use.
