Meat, fish and poultry are therefore deleted from the menu. However, most animal products are still eaten by most vegetarians. The logic behind this is that, for eggs and dairy, for example, animals do not have to be killed. Because vegetarians eat milk and eggs, they are sometimes called lacto-ovo vegetarians. In this way they can be distinguished from people who eat milk but do not eat eggs (lacto vegetarians) and vice versa (ovo vegetarians).
