There are two main types of carbohydrates - simple carbohydrates and complex carbohydrates. Simple carbs are found in fruits, juices, sodas, table sugar, jams, honey etc. Complex carbs, like the name says have multiple chains of simple sugars, so they are more complex. for example brown rice, potatoes, oatmeal, corn, beans, peas etc.
