This really means that we are not born, as some say, inherently good. We were born inherently evil and the evil within just waits for the opportunity to express itself. Almighty God knew our situation and He decided to do something for us. He loves us, even more deeply than many people have yet determined. He knew that we were helpless and without hope. So He sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to redeem us, doing for us what we could not do for ourselves. (John3:16)
